Stacy Witbart-Legal Secretary
Four years later Mrs. Witbart operated her own freelance Court Reporting business in Lake County, Indiana, taking both discovery and evidence depositions for area attorneys.
Stacy was added to the firm as a legal assistant in 2004. During her tenure at the Farris Law Office, hours and responsibilities have increased. Presently, her focus centers upon client contact and preparation of documents in a variety of areas: civil litigation, family law, estate planning, real estate, criminal law, corporations and limited liability companies.
She resides in Sparta with her husband, Kevin, and has two grown children, Zach and his wife, Jenna, of Murray, Kentucky & Sarabeth of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Stacy Witbart began her career in the legal system as a legal secretary at a law firm in Highland, Indiana, in 1980. Under the direction of four attorneys, her duties included civil litigation, collections, estate planning, family law and personal injury.
Julia Hayes-Paralegal
Julia Hayes received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois, in 2003. Upon graduation she was employed with the legal department of Union Planters Bank in Belleville, Illinois, until 2005.
She then utilized her paralegal studies at the Sparta Community Hospital. Her duties involved handling delinquent accounts, preparing small claims documents and attending necessary hearings as a representative of the Hospital.
Julia has been an asset to the Farris Law Office since she began in April of 2006. In addition to having contact with clients, her attention is directed toward completion/preparation of documents in the areas of banking and municipal law, appeal work, criminal and civil litigation.
She resides in Sparta with her husband, Michael, and son, Zachary.
